According to the developer, it has an energy saving of 60 percent in relation to a traditional home.
A typical Trujillo house from the 19th century houses, on its first floor, two of the first sustainable tourist apartments in the region. This is stated by its promoter, Francisco Rey. Not only does he say it because he has an energy efficiency certificate from the Board. It also details it by the measures carried out in its construction. This fact causes that the energetic saving is of a 60 percent in relation to a conventional house, qualifies the own person in charge.
This is ‘The King’s lodging’, with two apartments called Yupanki and Malinche, and promoted by Inexcon Obras y Soluciones. Yesterday, an open house was held. The intention is to open to the public in December.
Rey explains that this efficiency is achieved in different ways. One of them is through the recovery of heritage, with the works carried out. Likewise, it indicates that the waste from the demolition carried out has been reused in the form of recycled aggregates for the filling of ditches in an urbanization work. In addition, in these new units, a system of air conditioning and domestic hot water has been implemented with renewable aerothermal energy. All this joins the lighting with LED system. Likewise, “it has been encapsulated with thermal insulation to conserve temperature,” explains this promoter. It has also taken into account the exterior carpentry, using PVC and glass of low thermal emissivity. With all this, this important energy saving is achieved, in addition to avoiding noise pollution.
That efficiency does not stop there. “In our eagerness to preserve the environment, cleaning products have been made with natural products.”
Comfort and quality
Francisco Rey also emphasizes that a premium suites approach has been taken, so that the equivalence of these two apartments is of a four-star hotel. In this search for comfort and quality, the new accommodation will feature temporary exhibitions of local and Extremaduran artists and their works can be acquired by customers. Now, there are pieces by Julio Corrales. The ultimate goal is to have “a magical stay in Trujillo,” according to Claudia, the promoter’s daughter, in a handwritten welcome letter that can be read in these accommodations.
